Engineers, also known as Floating Bags of Air, or full of hot air, are a moddable race in the Covenant. They never appear in any Halo game, but they are known to exist, except by noobs. They love to fix things, and so, they are employed by Humans as mechanics and rocket scientists. The are sometimes used as helium balloons for little children. The most famous Engineer, Lighter Than Some died when a Marine shot the poor guy. A minute silence is held for him every 19 September.

Engineers are floating bags of flesh and metal. They our made from forerunners to possibly annoy there enemys with screaches, though the Engineers decided that becoming mechanics was a more worthwhile purpose in life.
